Wk 10 – Artist Interview – Yee Li

I liked these three paintings the most when I was looking at all the artwork at the art galleries. They were made by Yee Li. Yee wasn’t at the galleries to talk to, but there was a message that was left by the artwork that explained some things about them. Here is a piece of the message:

“We are exploring anxiety and fear through spatial representation. Our spaces influence the way we choose to react to moments of trepidation. Space can be interpreted literally, psychologically, emotionally, and mentally depending on an individual’s perspective.”

I found it fun to try and think about space, perspective, and anxiety while I looked at the art. Of the three, I think I like the left one the best. Its something I would like like to hang up at my place.
